Advice On / Importance of Learning How to Use Templates & the Options Offered

A lot of questions we get is how can I change the text I used on the 100 pages I applied the template on at one time instead of page by page.

Or for a puzzle, can I easily change the size of the grid without having to redo the whole thing or start a new project.

Plus many other questions we get,

So if you are new, or even if you have used templates before and even if you used a specific template in the past but you are a little foggy on the options, how it lays out, etc. we highly reccomend you always do this one thing.

  • After you click a template, it will ask you what pages to apply to, we recommend you pick 1 page.
  • Then on the option pages go through the options, maybe start with one part of it, change some of them and submit the template. See how it looks on the page,
  • If you don't like something, click the template again, change the options, repeat the steps above.
  • Once done the one part, then try out another part and another. Once you have your template the way you want it and are happy, then pick all the pages you want after picking the template.

Important things to keep in mind:

On the very bottom of option pages, keep the checkbox checked that says, "One Template Per Page". What this does it overright a template that is on the page. So after you run one test with specific options, you can just come back to the template and change some options and it will remove the old templates on the page and apply the new one.

Consider having an ongoing test project. I have one from when I first started learning and probably at least a couple more since. I may test a specific template options like suggested above, within the project I am making a lot of times to figure out my preferences. But a lot of times I like to work these things out ahead of time. So I use my test project.

Remember as well, we now have an option to save your settings. So you may get it perfect and want to be able to load your settings one day down the road, well be sure to click save, and then go to your default download folder. I Generally will rename it with a remind note in the new title I make of this file, then I move the file to a folder I have called Template Settings.
