Sometimes you can import a PDF into the Book Bolt Studio and all of a font text is missing, or random things are missing.
By default Microsoft Word seems to have a setting off that needs to be turned on when saving a PDF in order to be able to import correctly into the Studio.
Open your file (.doc(x) you should always save your work in Microsofts default type, doc(x) so you have your work easily available Once saved then you click save as and pick pdf for the pdf version).
- Click "File"
- Click "Save As"
- Click "Browse" to save on your computer, then pick the location.
- Change Save As Type to .pdf and name your file.
- Underneath File type is a box, "Options", click it.
- Under PDF Options, make sure PDF /A Compliant is checked (this is the one that is normally unchecked by default and needs to be checked), and I also have checked Optimize for Image Quality.
Once the file is saved, try importing that into the file library and that should correct the issue.
Here is a picture of the settings that normally will work if there was issues beforehand.
If PDF's were made in other programs and there are issues when importing, we can not control that as where it was made may not be to the correct standards, or something corrupt happened during the save and it will not import without some issues. You could go to a free PDF editor site online, like Small Pdf and split the pdf into 2 PDF's as in most cases when people did this with the files they had issues with, this solved the problem, as it was saved correctly in Small PDF.
