[KDP PUBLISHING] Can You Use Quotes in a Book you Create?

You should proceed with caution when using quotes from people. Older ones may be okay to use, you might be able to get permission from someone as well. Research each and every quote and understand the law. We do not recommend using them or not. All decisions are yours in the end. Email KDP if you have more questions.

I think it would be highly recommended to put on page one of your book something like "All quotes used in this book are in the public domain" You could add after that as well, the person who said this quote is listed after the quote as well.

Once again we want to say, do your research, be sure you can use and cite something on page one about this, so Amazon see's it and or you could add see back of book for more information. Where you might list the quotes, the year from, who said it, etc.

You can go to Wikiquote and search quotes there, you still have to make sure you can use them. Just because you find it here, doesn't mean you can or can't use it. You still have to see if you can.
